Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 August 2026 · Applies to the Daaymn Android app (com.daaymn.daaymn) and this website.

Daaymn is an independent dating app operated from South Africa. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, email daaymnco@gmail.com and a person will answer.

1. Who we are

Daaymn ("we", "us") is the developer of Daaymn: Dating & Local Singles, published on Google Play under the developer account Daaymn.co. Contact: daaymnco@gmail.com.

2. Information you give us

To use Daaymn you create a profile. Depending on what you choose to fill in, that can include:

Profile details are shown to other users of the app. That is the purpose of a dating profile — please do not put anything in it you would not want another member to see.

3. Location

Daaymn matches you with people near you, so with your permission the app uses your device location to work out approximate distance to other members. You can refuse or withdraw this permission in your Android settings; matching by proximity will not work without it.

4. Information collected automatically

Like most apps, we and our service providers receive basic technical data — device model, operating system version, app version, crash diagnostics, and advertising identifiers — used to keep the app working, diagnose faults, and deliver and measure advertising.

5. Advertising

Daaymn is free and is supported in part by advertising. Advertising partners may use your device's advertising identifier and similar technologies to select and measure ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, which limits ad personalisation.

6. How we use your information

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the app (for example hosting, crash reporting and advertising partners), with other users to the extent your profile is meant to be visible, and with authorities where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect someone from harm.

8. Safety, reporting and blocking

Daaymn provides in-app blocking and reporting. Reports and the content they relate to may be retained so they can be reviewed and acted upon, including after the reported account is deleted. Our full standards on child safety are published at Child Safety Standards.

9. Age

Daaymn is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register or collect information from them. If you believe an underage person is using the app, report them in the app or email daaymnco@gmail.com and the account will be removed.

10. Retention and deletion

We keep your profile for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from within the app, or ask us to delete it by emailing daaymnco@gmail.com. On deletion, your profile and photos are removed. Limited records may be retained where we are required to keep them, such as safety reports and legal obligations.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. South African users have these rights under POPIA; users in the EEA and UK under the GDPR. Email daaymnco@gmail.com and we will respond.

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

13. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.

14. Contact

Privacy questions and requests: daaymnco@gmail.com.

A note on accuracy. This policy describes the app as published. If you add or remove a data practice — a new analytics SDK, a payment processor, a change to what the profile collects — this page and the Play Console Data Safety form both need updating to match. The two must agree.
